This season’s inDepth mini-series explores three epic sets of variations for the piano, starting with Bach’s Goldberg Variations, and continuing with works by Beethoven and Rzewski in February and March.  Designed to transform the normal concert experience, each inDepth concert starts with an introduction to a featured masterpiece, continues with a complete concert performance, and concludes with an informal talk-back conversation with the artist and a reception.

The 20th century’s greatest set of piano variations, played by the artist for whom the work was written.

Rzewski: Variations on "The People United Shall Never Be Defeated"

Talk-back and dessert reception to follow
